It’s been a while, I know – but let’s just forget about how long it’s been since Styled To Last has posted and be happy it’s coming to lunch today. Here are 3 more items with lot’s more tips on how to style those little clothes to last. I just really love to suck every last wear out of clothes, what can I say. If you missed previous posts, here is a good place to catch up.
WEAR SHORTS ALL YEAR ROUND. Layer over tights in Winter, knee high or ankle socks in Fall or Spring, pair with boots or shoes for cool Summer days and of course sandals on dreamy hot Summer days. Hey, you might as well get some extra wear out of them, for many of us Summer is sadly too short – so make them an all season bottom. Denim Shorts: The Gap
THEY LITERALLY GO WITH EVERYTHING. Wear it as a jacket, under a jacket, as a cardigan, dressed up and belted, even under a sweater. It’s a rare day when one of us (or all of us) are not wearing a hoodie. A plain basic hoodie in any color might be our most favorite article of clothing. Hoodie: American Apparel
FOR LITTLE GIRLS. Usually they are a little too wide or big, but a few little tricks will make a hand-me down or a tee from the boys section perfect for her too. Roll up the sleeves a little, tuck it in, layer it under a cardigan or dress, wear over a girly top, or go 90’s and tie a little knot when worn over a dress or a longer top. My favorite tees are usually from the boys section (much less glittery and glitzy), either Harlow get’s tees handed down to her or I shop directly in the boys section. Boys Tee: Zara

Styled to last is one of my favorite posts of this blog!!! So happy it’s back!
Yay, it's back!
And…I love knowing how versatile shorts are. I'm gonna have to get my girl a pair ; )
Love this! And I totally put boy tees on Margaux all the time. Sometimes they're just cooler! I hate that a lot of little girl shirts are just SO girly, it's nice to have a little variety.
I agree, sometimes my eyes just hurt from all the pink!
I tuck away so many of Otto's clothes now with an eye toward repurposing for Loretta in a couple of years! It's definitely all about boy tees and shorts in winter? absolutely!
I'm new to your blog (via Ot & Et), and while I am a fashion disaster, and can see that I'll be a new regular reader. Your blog is fantastic! Oh, and that photo of your daughter, in the sweater, shorts, and knee highs? It is just killing me. The outfit, the photo itself, and that smiley face. Too much amazing!
I have twin 2 1/2 year old daughters. Most of their clothes are gifted to us, or made by my mom. On the rare occasions that we shop for them, it is often from the boys section. I think boys shirts often have better, bolder colors. Plus, super hero graphic tees are never made for little girls!
Aw. So glad you stopped by and for your super kind words! Twin 2.5 year olds, I bow down to your super momness!
