We are on day 5 of grey skies and rainy weather, starting to feel a bit like we live in Vancouver or the PNW. This weekend was a lazy one, we didn’t do much at all and really didn’t go anywhere – which for us is strange, but also very welcome. Sunday we tried our best to put on some happy faces and get out even though the grey skies were not clearing up. Our plan half worked, we went for a walk and had some lunch. Chris tested to see how much the kids really wanted a cookie, it really never gets old seeing those “NOOOO DAD!!” faces.
I’m excited for a new week, I feel like I’m starting to make progress on projects and ideas that have been bogging my brain for months – sometimes it takes a while to put the puzzle pieces together, which is sorta a fun part of the whole process (every single time). Canadian Thanksgiving is this weekend and since we don’t have much family around (sad face, goes without saying) we are teaming up with good friends who are in the same “no family” boat to give thanks and stuff our faces. So here’s to a great week (and hopefully a not very grey one) and a great Monday.
*Harlow is obsessed with her little messenger bag from Cauliflower Kids, it’s bigger then her little purses and just the right size for her to carry her own snacks, drink and a toy – I actually wasn’t allowed to carry any of her things. :)
