It’s funny how fast fashion comes back around these days. It barely takes a breath away anymore, most of the time we didn’t even know it left until it came back. Really, I think more that old fashion zeitgeist moving faster than ever before, I tend to think that fashion “rules” have really just flown out the window. Sure there will always be trends, new popular things that everyone is talking about but how those are interpreted and heard is always going to be really different for everyone. There is no “one style” anymore like how there was in the past, no one main “cool” clique. There are many, it’s sorta like the world is one big high school (which it really is in SO many ways) but every clique is cool and fashionable in their own right and style. At least that’s how I see style, I see it as individual and those individuals clump together as similar groups. But hey, that’s just me (and remember I’m a huge optimist).
Remember the 90’s and how cool all the fashions were? You can stop rolling your eyes now. The thing is when you remember a style from a time passed it’s usually associated with a memory, so depending on the memory the style can be totally hit or miss, maybe just something you want to bury in the back yard. I could go on and on, embarrassing myself with my really bad 90’s style memories from my childhood — but that would only be tons of fun for you. Instead let’s just talk about how some of your favorite (or hated) 90’s styles are back, but better and not as neon as the real life 90’s party was.
You’ve probably seen people sporting things that made you think “I remember wearing that!” and then instantly made you think “sh*t I’m old, if I can actually say that”. But fear not you are not old, fashion is just moving really really fast. How about I show you how fast and make you fall back in love with some of your favorite 90’s fashions.

What was that? You’ve been waiting for like ever for that big awesome list of trends (that are wearable and not overly trendy) from me for weeks and weeks!? I know, see the thing is these big giant lists take a big giant amount of time to put together, that and I’m a huge perfectionist. So without further adieu, here are all the spring summer 2016 trends, that are super wearable and not a stretch to add to your current wardrobe (okay, no promises).
These are the biggest trends of the season, but I choose items that won’t break your wardrobe and make you feel super uncomfy and out of the ordinary wearing them..for the most part. The Shoe Trend Report for Spring Summer 2016 will follow in the next couple weeks, but for now take all the clothes in.

It’s still cold, still winter, and even though it hasn’t been a winter worthy of even a little complaining there still comes a point where you get tired of wearing all that winter gear. And by you I mean me, because I am totally at that point. So this is me, dreaming of spring clothes and thinking of ways to wear them in the winter cold (layer, layer, layer). It’s pretty much the end of February and in all honesty spring really is pretty much already starting to show her face, and if not she’s right around the corner. So here’s a good uniform, for that.
Have you ever heard of the third item rule? It’s probably not a “rule”, but a trick that merchandisers and stylists often use to pull looks together and make sure they are showing the goods off properly. Something I’ve been told, read and learnt about in a few of different forums, it’s not new but so simple that it’s sometimes easy to forget.
So what’s the deal with item number three? Well if you tend to lean towards dressing basic (like me), then going from a regular two piece outfit made up of quality basics (maybe FRANC basics?). Then adding one more thing to finish can elevate an outfit and move it from one to two full thumbs up. The third item can, pull the entire outfit together, or just make it that much cooler. At least that is what the experts say, and something I sometimes subscribe too…sometimes simple is just better. But often adding that one extra item just makes it all make so much more awesome, for fun let’s have a look at some simple outfits that were made just that much better by adding that third cool friend to the mix.
