Most definitely a summer uniform. The vest is more to wear when you are around messy hands or maybe eating, to save your sparkling white tee from impeding doom, but also it’s just really great. This is a pretty great summer > fall transition outfit too, I know I’m not ready for the “what comes after summer” talk either, but it’s happening and the stores are already shoving it down our throats. So here you go, a uniform for every summer day plus also some of those incoming (in a couple of months) fall days.
King is getting to that age where he doesn’t always want to have me snapping photos of him. Which I totally get, because I don’t always love having my photo taken either. I totally respect his decisions especially when it pertains to his feelings and thoughts about himself, it’s a lovely thing watching them grow into small humans. Often both kiddos ask if they can take pictures of Chris and I, usually I’m a little nervous because “oh no careful, the camera!”. But they are getting pretty good – especially as King gets taller and he’s not so much at eye level with my bum. All these photos were taken by the kids and I have to say (biased or not) they are pretty fantastic. I am excited to be able to use my pint-sized photographers much more, and I’m pretty sure they will be excited to hear me say yes (a little more) more often than not.
Because we often like to dress alike, usually by accident but lately Harlow thinks its just the best thing ever. Also, in my dreams we would be wearing these swimsuits (we’d prob have to wear them every single day to make myself feel okay with the price) and where better to share my dreams of matching swimsuits, then here with you fine folk (wink). Are you into the matchy matchy look with your kiddos? Probably mostly by accident, though.
*I wrote a lengthly post about swim twins with mom and dad, on hellobee – if that’s your thing.
Almost as great as a comfy worn in tee (that I basically wear everyday), a comfy tee shirt dress. I sorta feel more dressed up (then normal) but still just as comfy, that’s a big gigantic outfit win in my book!
There is just something about this sheer dress, flowy and it just screams summer. Wear it over jeans, shorts or another dress – it’s calling my name. If you stare at the picture long enough, how I imagine wearing it will make total sense (expect with a few buttons left open, for some flow).
I don’t know what it is, maybe because it brings back such awkward memories of Junior High School (most likely not) – but crop tops have made their way back into my “what I want to wear” list. I adore how sleek and sophisticated the cropped look can be, so I’m sure it has nothing to do with my Junior High School crop top (if my memory serves me correct those were; mid drift, hip drift and rib cage baring days – sorry Mom!). My only personal rule (a golden one ) is; “if it’s cropped up top, keep the bottoms raised up high”. I’ve seen all shapes and sizes of beautiful women wearing this above the mid drift crop top and looking amazing (these three just happen to be the ones that caught my eye, time and time again).
This is most definitely a trend that will be a “heck no!” for so many, what about you?
