August 2010

I love Threadless; you know the community based tee-shirt company, with the super cool artist submitted designs!? If not, Go Check Out Threadless!!

Threadless now has a kids line, well it’s not brand spankin’ new, but it’s so cool with such wicked designs (submitted by different artists) that I had to write a post about it.

They have original designs for all sorts of different mini wardrobes, surely there will be one {probably a few} to suit your little stylish one.

Wouldn’t your kids look so cool wearing any one of the cool shirts from Threadless Kids as part of their new hip school wardrobe?

There are MANY more fantastic designs to choose from, so I suggest if you like any of these, even just a little check out Threadless Kids yourself. 🙂

The past week, was a busy one. My Mister was out of town for a couple days, we started the very long process of potty training {I assume it’s gonna be very long, he’s a stubborn one}, we had a fantastic visit with great friends The Be Arthurs, and we were out and about as usual.

Harlow is 3 months old so has pretty good sight, she is loving facing forward in the Bjorn now, loves to see everything and laugh at people all day long.

Kids love routine, they thrive from it, either it be set by us or by themselves.

Kingston has a little routine for when we leave the house. He gets so pumped to go outside, bringing our shoes to us, running around looking for his “at” {hat}, and always at the very last moment he runs and grabs a toy. It’s usually a different toy everyday, but it never fails he has to bring something.
Most days he refuses to hold our hands while we walk, so in the stroller he goes, can’t walk around the busy city without holding mom or dads hand. On those days where he doesn’t want to hold our hands (6 days out of 7 usually), his routine of bringing a toy really comes in handy, as it helps calm an angry toddler who does not want to hold our hands or sit in the stroller.

On the other side of kids needing routine, it usually takes doing something at least 1 million times before they figure out, “oh this is the routine” :). That being said it will probably take another 498, 873 times of him having to sit in the stroller when he refuses to hold hands, before he realizes that all he needs to do is hold hands to be able to walk.

Our regular Friday Post ‘Mini Celebrity’ is going to be skipped this week, sorry! Instead Baby Blackbird’s Fall Must haves for your little ones.

I had EVERY intention of posting this last week, but better late then never. Right? For everyone still shopping for Back To School, or for anyone who has already shopped {you can always add a few more item to your list}, this is the perfect list of Must haves for your little girl.

1. Knit Beret {the perfect finish to any outfit} 2. Polka Dot Purple Tiered Dress {the perfect Fall color, in a fun, girly dress} 3. Long Sleeve Graphic Tee {Not just any graphic tee for this season, a textured graphic tee is key} 4. Crimson Dress {Sweet little girly dress in a must have Fall color} 5. Jeggings {not new, but a it’s still a must have} 6. Camel Trench {the trench is in, and camel is this falls neutral} 7. Metallic ankle booties {a great trendy pair of boots is always a must} 8. Military Jacket {a feminine take on the fall military trend} 9. Ruffled Plaid Dress {Fall’s plaid and patchwork trend in a beautiful ruffled front style} 10. Sherling Vest {Sherling is big this fall, and this vest is the perfect way to wear it} 11. Leopard Cardi {Animal prints are big this season, a layering piece is the perfect subtle way to wear it} 12. Cable Knit Sweater {cable knit is going to be big for the season} 13. Motorcycle jacket {rough and tough motorcycle style, would make the perfect pair to a sweet girly dress} 14. Maxi Dress {the maxi dress or skirt is a MUST for fall} 15. The prefect layering sweater {in the perfect fall colors} 16. Motorcycle boots {Another great way to wear the motorcycle style} 17. Military Denim Dress {a super cute trendy little dress} 18. Cupcake Backpack {I couldn’t decide between this funky cupcake backpack and the cute purple owl} 19. Owl Backpack

I tried my best to choose items from commonly shopped at stores, stores that are in most cities and towns, to make it easy for you to grab any of these great items.

Little Boys Must Haves will be posted in a couple hours, so stay tuned, it’s gonna be a good one!!

Hugo Boss Kids Fall/Winter 2010

Hugo Boss is so awesome, even their kids collection is hip, well fitting, and beautiful. We love Hugo Boss adults clothing, especially the mens, it fits my hubby like a glove. I can only imagine how well their kids clothing fits and feels, from these pics it looks amazing.

Just look at the little tweed blazer and that bright red wool swing coat, perfection!

Always a clear sign your baby is going thru a growth spurt; when you feel like a dairy cow because they are nursing every hour or more!

The past week {been a long week} has been full of Harlow attached to my utters {I seriously feel like a dairy cow}. I had a talk with her this AM, I am hoping she starts the sleeping part, of this spurt and goes back to her wonderful long sleep shifts at night.

I am also a little nervous that she won’t go back to the amazing sleeper she was, I remember with King alot changed at the 3 month mark, including his sleeping habits.

I’m crossing my fingers! Cross yours for me too!!
xoxo

{Vote for me, the dairy cow! 🙂 Thank you!!}
