I live in basic tees, well basic clothing in general. I’ve never been a very fancy girl but, there was a short time I wore a lot of dresses, but even that was due to being lazy. Pop a dress on and you are done dressing, easy peasy. I have maybe one (probably two) button up shirts in my closet, the rest are alll tee’s or versions of a “tee”. I love a good basic and waste a lot of time milling over tiny details of, said basics. Do you like basic tees? I hope so because otherwise this post would be mighty boring, or maybe it is anyways, whatever.
My favorite type of basic tee, is a basic-ish one. An everyday essential, or a basic that really isn’t a basic at all (I like that title better) are “basically” what make up my wardrobe. Wanna see some of my favorites? Dumb question, if you are still reading of course you do! [one – pocket collar-bone crew neck]
two [drapey oversized pocket tee] – three [over scooped armhole crew] – four [drapey cropped 3/4 sleeve tee] – five [oversized and drapey]
six [sturdy oversized pocket tee] – seven [scooped v-neck tee] – eight [drapey long hem scoop tee] – nine [deep scooped tee] – ten [low neck sporty fit] – eleven [rolled sleeves boxy]
What do you say? Are you a basic lover? Do you have a favorite tee or tee brand?
Love this! I too live in the basic tee mantra!
Yay! I love these ‘uniform’ posts of yours (maybe mostly because our styles are similar 😉
I’m definitely a basic-lover and am always looking for the perfect swingy, long-ish, v- or scoop-neck tee. Aritzia is the closest I’ve come to finding it — but length is usually an issue (I’m not even tall! Only 5’4", but everything is high-hip length!). Your picks are awesome and are officially on my ‘to try’ list.
I’d love a post on toppers — that is, what you’d wear on top of the basic tee in the winter. Not coats/jackets, but cardigans, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. Any basic toppers you couldn’t possibly live without?
Some of those tops are too long for my liking too, so I totally get that. I will think about that one, great idea – thanks!!
Love this post!! I live for a great basic tee. So simple, easy and comfortable. Ahh I can’t wait for the warmer temps to arrive so I can stop living in 100 layers!!
