December 2010

2010, WOW! What a great year you were. So MANY wonderful things happened to me and my family this year: Kingston started walking and talking. My Mr and I gave birth {well I did ALL the work} to our beautiful daughter, Harlow. Kingston became the most amazing Big Brother! Kingston turned two!! I started Baby Blackbird. My husband turned 30!! Harlow started smiling, sitting, eating, army crawling…and honestly I could go on all year! It was an amazing year, every year that I have my kids and my husband in my life is sure to be just as amazing. Ok , ok enough with the CHEESE.

Here is just a small snapshot of  some of my favourite outfits the kids wore in 2010 {Harlow made her debut in May!}.

As great as 2010 was, I am SO excited for 2011 {my stomach is all butterflies just thinking about it, really}. I just have this feeling that 2011 is going to be an amazing year. For everyone.

Have a SUPER New Years Everyone!! And Thank you to all of you for visiting, and following Baby Blackbird in 2010. I hope to keep you entertained, and keep your kids stylish in 2011 as well.

Till Next Year!

Anais & I is a line of little girls clothing made by a Mom with the comfort of her daughter in mind {actually her daughter helped design the entire line}. These adorable clothes are the perfect choice to keep any little girl stylish and comfortable at the same time {in fashion style and comfort rarely mix}.  I love this entire line, and dream of one day dressing my daughter in something made by Anais & I when she’s a bit older.

The year is SO close to drawing to a close. I can’t believe how fast New Years has crept up. What are your plans for NYE {tomorrow night!!}?

My son is in full fledge Toy Story obsession right now. We are forced to watch at least one of the three movies a minimum of once a day {usually more}. He received pretty much all the characters for Christmas, and he now calls every horse “bulls-eye’, it’s no longer a just horse.

SO, since I literally have Toy Story on the brain I was sorta inspired to find Toy Story inspired, COOL clothing items for kids. I’m not really into branded things {I know with kids its very hard to avoid}, so like to try find creative ways to channel an obsession {or like}  into an outfit my toddler will love to wear. This set of pieces was inspired by Toy Story.

  1. Wooden Sheriff Badge
  2. White and Lime Green ‘Space Ranger’ Sneakers
  3. Cowboy Plaid Shirt
  4. Astronaut Helmet
  5. Cowboy Jeans
  6. Cowboy Boots
  7. Spaceman T-Shirt {I know this is branded, but I thought it was too cute, and too perfect}
  8. Sheriff Hat

Snug Attack is a company that hand prints on American Apparel onesies, in modern typography for baby and toddler twins. Snug Attack was created by a Mom and Dad duo, after they them selves had a set of twins. Fun, and modern baby onesies are hard enough to find, but cute and cool onesies for twins, next to impossible.

The Snug Attack line keeps twin baby onesies simple, cool and modern, alot of the items would be super cute for a single baby as well.

I love the BOY and GIRL onesies, since babies always look alike and people can never tell what their correct gender is. The GIRL onesie would probably help people to stop assuming my daughter is a boy, as it seems even if she’s wearing all pink they “just couldn’t tell the difference”.

Snug Attack is offering all Baby Blackbird readers a 20% discount on your purchases till January 31st. Just use the code: BB20 at checkout.

I love the quirky coolness of Bandit Bambi. This french duo hits the nail on the head with some of the cutest and coolest kids clothes. Their online boutique is under construction, but be sure to keep your eyes out for it’s launch.

I cannot wait to see what Bandit Bambi has in store for Spring 2011.
