We didn’t get snow for Christmas, and it has been awesome-ly warm pretty much all winter…until this week. The day before yesterday was so cold I swear my eye balls felt like they were freezing and I had to run from store to store (while on errands) to keep from peeing my pants (OK not really, well maybe). Seriously it was COLD! The Mister and I moved away from a Northern-ish freezing-fricking-cold-every-single-day-of-winter city 9 years ago (holy moly that was 9 YEARS AGO!) and the cold was half the reason we left. Toronto gets cold, but usually not -30C cold (it’s just way less common) so cold days like the other day sneak up and bite us in the butt. And then we whine and complain for days, and dream of hot summer days, then when hot summer days come, we whine and complain about how it’s TOO hot (never changes).
When it’s ‘my nose hairs are freezing’ and ‘my eyelashes are frozen to my glasses’ cold, it’s pretty hard to dress stylish. But really who’s looking anywhere but, the ground they are running on to get out of the cold anyways? Dad snapped a few pics of me in the kids the day before I froze my butt off (the kids stayed home with dad in our warm home that day), pictures of us all toasty warm. The day the weather started to get a little colder, this is what we wore…
Mom Scarf:Urban Outfitters (2007) similar / Diaper Bag:c/o Tribe Bags / Coat:Zara / Jeans:Levi’s / Socks:H&M / Boots:Sorel (2010) similar
Kingston Hat:The Gap (2010) similar / Coat:The Gap / Mittens:The Children’s Place / Jeans:Zara / Boots:The Gap
Harlow Hat:The Gap / Coat: c/o Il Gufo / Mittens:The Children’s Place / Dress:H&M / Tights:The Gap / Boots:Zara Baby / Bunny:Jellycat
Can’t go wrong with a pair of Sorel’s in the winter, okay maybe not that stylish, but my toasty toes love em. The kids’ have mini Sorel-sih boots which are pretty adorable and stylish on them (everything is cute and stylish on kids). Also I have to gush over this diaper bag, I love it. I forget it’s a diaper bag all the time and find myself carrying it (full of diapers might I add) when I am out by my lonesome. No one can ever tell it’s not just a cool purse till I open it up and they see an entire pack of diapers (it’s like an apartment in there big enough to hold a pack of diapers and probably a kitchen sink too).
PS. The day we took these pictures it was cold but not snow pants cold. When it’s really cold out, we dress it hats, scarfs, snow pants and the kids are usually wrapped in blankets in the stroller and covered with the rain bubble (that’s if we go out at all).

Love the style but all I think when looking at this pics…. if it’s so cold, where is your hat…. guess I’m really a mom now?
It was the perfect chilly temp that day to skip the hat, well for mom only. Any colder and I would have had my toque on for sure!
Fab family style! I want some Sorel boots! I am trying to find them on sale to wear next year.
Love the bag too!! I going to need one soon 🙂 Guess what?? It’s been raining for 2 days. Its been above 0 since Christmas and we really haven’t had a lot of cold weather this year. To be honest, it weird but fantabulous! Miss you.
awesome! It’s been crazy warm here too. Well except for Tuesday. Hope it doesn’t mean we both get cool summers!
You also make a beautiful, natural model!
Loving your new hair 🙂 and that bunny your daughter is holding is just too adorable.
thank you so much!
and thisis why your one of my favorite kids (and mama) fashion blogs love it all!
Cutest lil fam ever, great style momma!
