Last Saturday my husband surprised us in the morning by telling us he had the whole day off and he planned a day at the zoo for us! Any time he has a full day off is extra special and worth celebrating {it’s pretty rare}, but the zoo! We love the zoo!
The Toronto Zoo is fabulous, it’s huge, it’s truly a full day event if you visit all the animals, there is one pavilion we always skip {the Canadian one}, cause really we can look down an alley at night and see a family of raccoons {of course there are many other great animals in Canada}, but we go for the exotic animals {and the Canadian pavilion is down a very steep and long hill, which is a pain to leave pushing 2 kiddos in a stroller}.
We actually didn’t take that many pictures {trust me this is a very light picture day for us}, we just enjoyed the day, but here are a few, the ones where we aren’t dripping in sweat {it was another scorching hot day}.
There was a lot of open mouth “OOHHHHH’s!!” from both kids and pointing to {usually what they thought was an animal, sometimes it was a rock cause the animal was hiding} followed by a giant “WOW!!!!”
And since my new favourtie camera happens to be on my iphone here’s a few of our fav instagram shots of the day.
After our fun filled, sweaty day, we visited the splash park at the zoo on our way out, just to cool off before our trek home. Kingston fell asleep on the ride home {at 4pm} and slept straight thru till 6am the next day! That’s how you know the day was a total success!
This weekend, no big plans for us. Probably some roaming around the city, park visits and some general maxing and relaxing lazy time. Any of you have any special plans for this weekend?
Happy Saturday!!
PS. Harlow’s cute tank is from b.childrens wear.
