Little Style | What They Wore

Harlow is all of 18 months old and her love affair with clothes has already started. On this particular morning she found a belt, brought it to me and asked “pweeessee!” as she proceeded showed me she wanted it on her waist. On a regular day she’s riffling through her shoe box bringing me “shoooees” and asking nicely for “help”. She is truly my little girl and just like her big brother (he loves the clothes too). Last Friday it was be-autiful outside so Harlow and I took full advantage and enjoyed the warm weather to crunch some of the last leaves of the season. This is what my little clothes lover wore…

She is such a loving and sweet little girl, the whole time we were playing in the leaves she was looking around, missing and calling for “KING!!”. It’s so amazing to watch the love and friendship between siblings, but of course they have their moments (boy do they ever) where I wouldn’t exactly call it ‘love’ or ‘friendship’..if you know what I mean.;)

I’m not sure how I missed this entire day of pictures, I should have posted these like 3 weeks ago (things are much less green, and much more yellow and dieing). On the day (3 weeks ago) I took these pictures; King was in one of his classes Daddy, Harley and I got to spend some time together alone (first time ever). Harlow didn’t want to let go of Chris’ hand, pretty hard to find anything more adorable then a little girl who loves her daddy this much. This is what Harlow wore… She’s holding so tight, Dad’s finger is turning pink! And the next one is my favorite…

I’m now missing early fall weather something fierce this day was so beautiful, and I don’t want winter to come!

The other day when I took some photos of King {cause he was extra cute and so was his outfit}, I turned around and noticed we had a bit of an audience. I think I turned as red as a ripe tomato when I noticed people were watching, I know it shouldn’t be embarrassing being watched while you take photos of your kids’. But I make a total fool of myself when I’m the photographer; crawling all over the ground, singing a song, dancing, or making funny noises {mostly fart noises} and shaking my booty to make Harlow laugh while I snap pictures of her brother. All totally OK {when no ones watching}, all very embarssing {when people are staring} . Thankfully by the time I noticed we were being watched, I already got a bunch of photos. On yet another day last week when mom was acting a fool to take photos of the kids’, this is what King wore…

Toronto has been super wet, it actually feels more like spring then fall. Hence why King is wearing such a multi season outfit; winter hat, spring boots, fall jacket.

This is my new favorite hat in King’s little hat closest, the thing I love the most is that it fits my head {I plan to wear it alot}.

I tried to take pictures of this little girl all day long! Playing in the tee pee, hanging on the couch, looking out the window, on a walk, at the park, at the store. Literally all day! These are the only pictures I was able to capture, well the only ones that were post-able.

That one day last week where I chased after Harlow all day long just to get a few pictures, this is what she wore…

Even though taking pictures of this little lady {actually her brother too} are extra hard lately. They are also extra fun, it’s a giant game of tag, while Mommy rolls around and trips all over the place. The kids’ love it!

Last week we were running so late for story time at the library, I decided it probably wasn’t even worth the struggle to try and make it for under half of the time. So I had the brilliant idea of side tracking to the grocery store {genius Mom}. Usually King is pretty easy to convince “this is gonna be so fun” regarding just about anything, but the past week he’s totally not falling for my over acted excitement. He has transformed into a true blue 3 year old; super independent, coo-coo crazy, pretty grumpy, and emotional. Needless to say once he saw the direction our walk was turning he was mad at me. It took me jumping around in the street like a giant fool during morning rush hour, the promises of seeing the lobsters and pulling the basket while shopping to get the preschooler train moving towards the grocery store.

The moment he realized where we were going, I snapped some photos before during and at the grocery store {you can see the change in emotions}. We went to the grocery store and this is what King wore…

The best part is when we get to the grocery store, this boy is so happy and eager to help {and he is actually a really big help}.

Happy First of November!

These photos of little Harlow running away from me are a few weeks old already, I have gotten a bit behind in the kids’ outfit posts {I have more photos then time}. That’s why the weather in these pictures is a tad bit deceiving, we have had chilly and fall like lately {with tons of cold yucky  rain}.

This was one of those days where I had a bunch of boring errands to do, so poor Harlow was hanging out in the stroller for a few hours. Once we were all done and I freed her from the stroller she ran away from me squealing in delight. Hence why her dress is all wrinkled {being locked in the stroller}, and why in every photo she looks like she’s running {because she was}. This is what Harlow wore…

Cardigan:H&M {last fall}…Dress:H&M{past summer}…Socks:H&M…Shoes:Zara Baby…Amber Teething Necklace:Baltic Amber

It’s so funny how all little toddlers do that staring down at the ground thing when they walk, and they really miss most things that are right in front of them. Funny and also a bit scary!

One of the best ways to cool a grumpy or restless little boy when out and about, is to hang out in front of a fire station for a little while. Usually this happens by accident for us, the sight of a fire station always brings so much excitement to Kingston’s little face that it is a welcome accident. The best is when a fire truck happens to get a call and come speeding out of one of the large bay doors.

Last week {just before King got a much-needed hair cut} we had the happy accident of walking by a fire station,  though there were no fire trucks speeding out to save the day this boy was extra happy to just hang out. This is what King wore…

Top: Arséne et les pipelettes c/o Clara de Paris

Jeans: H&M

Shoes: Tiny Toms

Bottle: Kleen Kanteen

Do you have any easy or accidental ways that put a huge smile on your little ones face? The sight of a huge flock of dirty birds {pigeons} also does it for my kids.

Also on a whole other topic, I really wanted to thank all of you for your kind words and feedback regarding The Style Mentors. Since this is such a new project it is most definitely a work in progress. Your feedback has helped us improve a few things already, most importantly the pricing on our packages (much more affordable and attainable price points). Also we are working on adding a new package and hopefully a couple more team members. Thank you so much for all your feedback!

It rained pretty much the entire weekend here, actually pretty much all last week. So going to the park has sorta been out of the question well unless we all want to have wet, cold bums.

When it’s rainy or yucky outside we usually go exploring {we try to never stay indoors for too long, the kids go loony with cabin fever}. On Friday that’s just what we did, well we more went to a field and a brick/gravel circle to run around, but for the kids it was cooool exploring.

On this wet, muddy day this is what the kids wore…

KINGSTON ~ Jacket: Zara…Tee: Crewcuts…Jeans: The Gap…Rubber Boots: Sears

HARLOW ~ Hair Clip: Vintage {Mine from when I was little}…Denim Shirt: Zara {baby dress used as a top}…Tutu: c/o Tutu Du Monde …Socks: H&M…Moccasins: Minnetonka

*The Tutu from Tutu Du Monde is a dress with a nude tank top, so don’t fear the denim shirt is not tied to show off her baby belly {that would be pretty silly} it’s just to keep her warm while showing off her cute tutu!

It’s getting increasingly hard to get a shot of the kids together, mostly cause both of them never want to be still. But that’s sort of the fun of it, the whole chasing after them part. That and it’s turned out to be a game for them, run away from Mom and Dad when they have the camera. Probably our fault for playing hide & seek and tag with them all the time, they think we are always playing it now.

Hoping to see the sun sometimes this week, all this rain is making us lazy and sleepy, and forced me to sadly pack up all our summer clothes.:(
