No matter what, a trip to the Farmer’s Market always seems to make a day. Even those days we (Chris and I, mostly) wake begrudgingly and even a wee bit grumpy – a Farmer’s Market trip sorta sets everything back to zero and slaps a smile on our faces. I don’t know what it is; being outside and seeing all the other happy faces, the simplicity of the food and choices that are so amazing you can’t wait to go back next weekend – probably all of them. We always leave with our loot thinking, darn it we should have gotten more…usually berries. The kids and I hit up the market the past weekend, sans handsome husband – we had fun, but definitely wasn’t the same without my fellow tantrum tamer.
And then King took hold of the camera, and got some funny looks and comments from people – random tips and thoughts from strangers are always fun. 😉
Also I have a weird obsession (okay, maybe more of a like) with seeing peoples farmers market goodies, but only the farmers market loot – all the fresh food sorta makes me want to go out and buy some of my own and I love seeing the happiness that non materialistic items can create.
*we don’t eat a lot of tofu, due to the great soy argument and estrogen (but we like it, quite a lot). I tried the most amazing handmade, organic, no GMO and no gypsum tofu and had to buy it – like this stuff was so good I couldn’t believe it was tofu, and I think I was that annoying vocal eater (lot’s of mmmming, and oh my god’s) while eating it. Also that weird burger looking thing, is a lentil burger wrapped in collard greens from Earth & City – so much yum.

I wish I could get my kid to eat like this.
I hope my kids eat like this always, hopefully green drinks stay cool.
