Small Style Icon, this week features stylish little Kenzie the star and inspiration behind Kenziepoo. Kenzie has a eclectic, modern, girly, fashion forward style, she is a true small style icon. Kenzie’s mom, Rachelle loves all things stylish for kids, from decor, toy, gear and clothes. Her passion for kiddo style is can be see on her blog and in her popular kids’ e-zine La Petite. Rachelle is the perfect mama to give us a few tips on how to dress a small style icon!

Cape: Kico Kids…Romper: Bobo Choses…Moccasins: Zara

What are your favourite stores or brands you like to shop at for Kenzie?

A few of my favorite shops to buy clothes for my little Kenzie: Poppy’s ClosetLine+LivEstella New YorkLittle Fashion Gallery & last but not least Stella McCartney Kids.

Necklace: Bkids wear neon…Dress: Wovenplay…Crown: Wovenplay

Do you have any tips for putting a little outfit together for other Mom’s who are wanting to dress their little one like a small icon?

I would suggest would be to pick out a few seasonal Key Pieces for your little one. Make sure they are on trend, then just mix & match those pieces!

Does Kenzie’s style mirror your own or is her personalty beginning to shine thru? Does she ever pick out her own clothes?

Kenzie’s style does mirror my own a bit, but she does have a say in her outfits. She is quite the little stylish one! She will tell me what she wants to wear and will put things together things that I would never think about putting together. They are really cute too! She picked out this outfit below!

Crown: kenzie’s own…Top: Bobo Choses…Shorts: Soft Gallery…Moccasins: Zara

What are your {or Kenzie’s} FAV 3 pieces that get the most wear/use?

She and I love these 3 pieces! Her Soft Gallery ShortsBobo Choses Romper,Kico Kids Cape.

Thank you, thank you Rachelle and Kenzie. Wonderful advice and style inspiration for all of us! THANK YOU!

Kenzie was also featured on one of our fav blogs, back when she was a bit smaller. Have a gander at her style and fab personality back then.

Freshly Picked, hand makes some of the coolest, and definitely one of a kind baby shoes. Handmade, leather shoes, that are full of style, you really can’t ask for more from a pair of shoes for your little ones feet. Freshly picked also has an array of funky pillows, wallets, bags, and more, but the below items and styles are by far my favs!

The original baby moccasins, come in so many funky shades of leather, even metallic and pink {more like metallic pink}!

I love love these little packs, use them little purses for your valuables. I think they would be great to organize my diaper bag a bit and maybe even a super cool makeup bag.

By far my fav items in this little shop have got to be these new gold and neon moccasins. Any baby wearing these would really be “so hip it hurts!”

Also, I spotted an exciting post on the adorable Freshly Picked blog…she is working on new moccasian patterns. I can’t even get over the cuteness, I desperately want a pair {or three} for myself!

Have a gander at their great blog, and shop a little at the hip little store!

Mini Celebrity today breaks down Adam Brody’s preppy skater style, and creates the perfect celebrity look alike outfit for your little boy.

1.The Gap Grey Military Hat 2.Zara Boys Plaid Shirt 3.77kids White Slub Tee 4.Crewcuts Sunnies 5.Crewcuts Grey Chino 6.Adidas Boys Black Sneakers . Photo

No long sleeve plaid shirt and I switched up the regular baseball cap for a military cap. It’s a bit to warm here most days for a long sleeve shirt and baseball caps are cute and all but the military cap is just a bit more……more….{ I can’t think of the word, so just more!}.

Happy Friday!!

Nico Nico is one of those little lookbooks that leave me wishing everything was made in my size! Sustainable organic cotton and original, fashion forward prints and timeless, yet funky styles…so not fair that only my kids get to wear Nico Nico.

I have been coveting a few pieces, all of the tees are too die for, and the asymmetrical circle skirt is adorable and super practical.

There are a few different places you can buy nico nico, but one of our favourite online shops sells nico nico {one of our new favourite little clothing brands}.

Yesterday was Harlow’s very first birthday! And this is what she wore…

Dress: Zara baby girls…Shoes: Zuzii…Mask: made by me

We spent the day hanging out at home, I made cupcakes, which turned out to be a giant fail. For future reference I should not be allowed to bake on only 3 hours of sleep. I totally read ‘teaspoons’ but measured ‘tablespoons’. Major mom fail, but we bought her a delicious piece of cake to make up for the lack of cupcakes, which she happily devoured.

For no reason at all other them I thought a bandit mask would look super cool and cute, I made the kids one. Oh and a matching one for Harlow’s  favourite bunny.

These two kids are so darn sweet, so much love it’s beyond amazing to watch.

Our youngest, our teeny, tiny, baby girl turns one today! Truly so bittersweet, we love watching her grow, learn and develop, but how do I make time stand still? Even just for a week, a day, a moment.

a little warning: If you don’t like happy or cute babies, you probably shouldn’t scroll down anymore. Oh, and be prepared for a butt load of pictures, I didn’t do very well at editing. 🙂

Harlow, Dad and I love you so very much, it’s actually pretty darn ridiculous. There are too many reasons why, as you are so very special, but I picked out a few out of the mile long list of reasons:

You are probably the happiest baby we have ever met, you crawl around {and desperately try to walk around} with a beaming smile that lights up your whole little face. You love your brother so very much, even when he’s being not so worthy of it {hey, he’s 2}. You have the best, and the sweetest heart, you smile at everyone {we may have to work on this a bit} and anyone who catches a glimpse of your smile has a brighter day for it. You LOVE  your mommy and daddy {so much, and we lap it up}, you will crawl across the room just to get a hug and kiss then happily go back to playing. You let mommy dress you up, sorry dear but you are my living and breathing doll for life! You are so smart, starting with ‘words’ far too early, and understanding way too much then you should.

You are beautiful inside and out, Mommy, Daddy and Kingston {and your Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, friends, acquaintances} love you more {and for more reasons} then we could ever describe. So instead of boring everyone with that extremely long list, we will show you for the rest of your life in love.

I really really love Harlow’s birthday decorations. I actually just used some left over craft supplies I had, realized I had 2 bags of feathers. Picked out the pink and teal ones and strung those puppies up. I actually love them so much I sorta don’t want to take them down from my wall.

After our little photo-shoot, I strung all the feathers up above our mantle and just decorated the mantle a tad bit.

Harlow is wearing:
Birthday Crown: made by me…Flower Clip: Zuzii hairclip…Tshirt: Zara kids…Roomper: American Apparel…Belt: Unknown…Sandals: Zara Kids

Also this is not her birthday outfit, so expect a Mini Daily Style post with what Harlow wore on her very first birthday, tomorrow.:)

And Kingston, Harlow’s best bud. These two love each other so much! And we LOVE them even more!

We know have a 2 1/2 year old and a 1 year old. Not quite two toddlers {Harlow’s still a baby…right?}.

Kingston is wearing:
Sunglasses: street vendor…Tshirt: c/o Little Warrior…Jeans: The Gap…Shoes: Tiny Toms

A big GIANT Happy Birthday to our little girl. AND a prayer for the lottery to come our way, cause boy do these kids of mine make me want to have more!

Mini Celebrity today breaks down Michelle William’s casual spring style, and creates the perfect celebrity look alike outfit for your little girl.

1.IKKS kids military parka 2.IKKS girls floral shirt  3.Crewcuts girls selima sunglasses 4.Witchery medal brooch 5.77kids girls white skinnies 5.Zara girls fringe clogs .  photo credit

Don’t I always take a bit of creative license? It’a allowed…right? Clogs and a cute military inspired brooch are much better the black sneakers, at least I think. 😉

Happy Friday everyone!!
