Sales/Promotions

sales-and-stuff I made a list of the sales I wanted to browse through over this Black Friday – Cyber Monday, shopping-weekend- fiesta. Since there are a few things I know we need or will need for Christmas, aaand I’m pretty cheap so really like to buy everything on sale (all the time).  And since I am the sharing type, here is that list – in case you are also planning to do a little online browsing for a few things. My gift guides, I’m going to start posting those next week mixed in with my regular posts. I’m excited as I think they are pretty top notch – you’ll probably like them too, well only if you like nice things.

Have you seen the new Peter Rabbit collection at Baby Gap? Well if you’re a Peter Rabbit fan (even if you aren’t and you just like really cute things) you should probably check it out. Emma Thompson wrote a brand new Peter adventure called “A Further Tale of Peter Rabbit” and the limited-edition collection is based upon all it’s cuteness – my only complaint is that it doesn’t come in toddler sizes, Harlow would be ALL over those cute bunny items.

To celebrate the new collection and Peter’s brand new adventure, Gap stores across North America are hosting special shopping/reading events. On Saturday January.26th at 11 am head over to The Eaton Center to hear Tracey Moore from Cityline, or Yorkdale to listen to Ceri Marsh from The Sweet Potato Chronicles or Square One to hear yours truly read!  (Ah! So honored and DOUBLE gulp, nervous!)

shopping event, kids style, peter rabbit, the gap special collection

Bring an old book your kids no longer read, Milk & Bookies will make sure it gets passed on to kids in need at The Boys and Girls Club. The first 100 kids to donate an old book will receive their own copy of “A Further Tale of Peter Rabbit”. So stop by one of the events; hear a story, enjoy some snacks and if you plan to come to Square One. meet me and the kids they will be there probably holding my hand.

*this is not a sponsored post, I was not paid to write this.

If your into cute gently used boys, girls (even a few things for the ladies) clothing – come check out our little closet shop. Last time things went fast, so do what Harlow’s doing…run!

I will ship everything that is ordered this week, by next Friday (and will sent out shipping confirmations). I will most likely add more stuff come Fall, cause who wants to even look at winter coats in June? Not me!

I also wrote a post about Hot Yoga today, why i love it and some tips for beginners (this will not show up in the newsletter, so if you’d like to read about it see it here).

I am over the moon excited to finally be able to share a project I have been pouring myself into for months {and months and months}. I have tried my hardest to be extremely tight lipped about this project, as any sorta ‘sneak peek’ or ‘teaser’ might give the whole thing away. That and I just wanted everything to be just perfect before spilling the beans,  I think it’s finally hit that perfect stage. 🙂

I would LOVE to introduce you to a new project called, The Style Mentors. It’s not a shop, nor is it another blog.

It’s a unique Online Stylist Service or as we like to call it Style Mentoring Service. Myself and a couple other amazingly stylish and talented bloggers {I will introduce you to them in a sec} have teamed up to offer an affordable personal online styling service. We can style your whole family {kiddos and dad’s too} you choose your stylist {the one who has the style you admire most}, and your package, answer a few questions and your mentor will create a lookbook with outfits {links to shops}, tips and advice just for you.

jenloveskev, the style mentors Have a special event to go to? struggling to find the perfect winter coat? Need some help styling an item already in your closest? Want a fresh new wardrobe? We can help you and your whole family attain that style you desire.

The Mentors:

Jen, has an amazing eye for colors and patterns, she is fearless and always leaves me in awe of her awesome creativity. She loves mixing trendy items with more classic or vintage pieces, which creates a unique and personal look. All about dressing for the fun of it!

Melissa, has a fantastic boho, modern vintage flair. She is a star at mixing new items with vintage pieces, she is a firm believer that your don’t have to be rich to look like a million bucks!

And me, well I am pretty casual, a little bit of a tomboy but I love pretty things. Trend driven but believes fashion should be comfortable and low maintenance.

Check out at the site, let me know what you think! If you need help getting out of a style rut, or creating a new wardrobe we are your gals!

Follow The Style Mentors on Twitter and Join us on Facebook!

XOXO

After talking about it for months I finally got my butt in gear and put together a little shop of some of the kids clothes. Clothes that they have grown out of, or in Harlow’s case will never fit her in the right season {I bought alot of things before she was born not knowing how teeny she’d be}. I posted the things I thought you all would love most, from the shops you seem to adore. But to be honest I don’t buy expensive brands for the kids, I just get to sad when things get ruined or they grow out of stuff.

Everything ships to Canada and the US, sorry International peeps. The shipping cost is a flat rate per cart, if actual shipping is under what was charged {I will refund that amount}, if its over {I will eat it}.

So if you’d like to have a look or do a little shopping go on and SHOP THEIR CLOSET.

PS. forgive my pictures, I only had one time of day to take shots {bedtime} and the light was not so great.

The Mini Mioche $75 Gift Certificate giveaway ends tonight, so if you haven’t entered yet..make sure you do!

xoxo

November 23rd a new movie called flipped comes out on DVD. It’s a super cute, heart warming film about first loves.
But what really caught my eye {take a guess what it was}….the clothing. For those of you who are vintage clothing lovers {60′s fashions to be exact}, you will want to check this movie out.

I wish I cold get my hands on some of the wardrobe from flipped for my own kiddos, just adorable.

Since this week is back to school {well in Canada at least} Creative Director Clothing, that super cool t-shirt store I did a post about a couple weeks ago, well they are having a great BTS promotion.

Starting tomorrow {September 7th}  and running until Friday {September 10th} when you purchase the funky Milk and Cookies t-shirt online, you will receive a FREE limited edition Robot T-shirt in the same size.

Like all Creative Director T-shirts this limited edition Robot tee is hand printed with water based ink on a 100% Cotton. Robots are fast becoming a huge trend in children’s clothing, accessories and toys this year, a free Robot tee is a fantastic way to get in on this trend.
