A new feature!!

This is one I have been thinking about for a while, I get alot of questions about: where to find cool and stylish clothes for kids, in different cities and online.

So I thought, starting a feature: Top Shops for Kids Clothes where with each post we feature a different city and their Top Kids Clothing Shops. Each city will list the top {not more then 10} shops, the shops that are unique to that city {boutiques, local stores, not chains}.

The tricky part about this feature is that I need you guys, I need stylish bloggers from different cities to be a part and help build a directory of sorts.

This will be super great for other people who live in your wonderful city or town, and for people who plan on travelling {as well alot of these stores have online shopping too!}. If you are a shopper, and know the stylish places to hit up for kids clothes {or know a blogger that is} send me an email: thebabyblackbird{at}gmail{dot}com. We can talk details.

Since I live and love my home, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I figured I’d start here!

Below is my current top places to shop for kids clothes {I like to keep the list below 10, and only include stores that are unique to the city} but I’m sure I will add to it a bit as time goes on.

Advice From A Caterpillar

All those beautiful labels for little ones you love, and a few you probably haven’t heard of yet. Plus, this store also has some really amazing vintage finds. Also, so unheard-of..they have a gorgeous bathroom for customers, pretty amazing when you have a potty training toddler in tow!

Top Brands: NeigeNico NicoMakie, Pepe Shoes.

8 Price Street, Toronto, ON Check out their blog.

Get Outside

Right in the heart of the hip shopping district of Queen West. They carry all the hipster shoes Mom and Dad wear, plus mini versions for kiddos. This is my go to store when it comes to shoes.

Top Brands: Minnetonka, Ria, Havaianas, Hunter, Blundstone.

437 Queen St West, Toronto,ON. You can also shop at Get Outside them online.

Pretty, sweet, and pretty….Oh wait I said that already. But really pretty isn’t even the right word, this store is full of beautiful heirloom quality, french clothing. This is a store that makes just browsing really tough. They have pretty locations around the world too!

Top Brands: Jacadi

Hazelton Lanes Center, 87 Avenue Rd. You can also shop at Jacadi online.

Kol Kid

Stocked full of hard to find clothing brands, shoes, handmade accessories, toys and it’s seriously just super kol. Every time I visit Kol Kid I am left wishing they had an adult sized version to everything they sell.

Top Brands: Bobo Choses, Wovenplay, Oeuf.

674 Queen St West, Toronto, ON.

Mini Mioche

Locally made little fashion basics that are made from super soft and organic fabrics. The type of basics we would buy for ourselves {or at least wish we could buy for ourselves!}, plus they sell some of the coolest little shoes.

Top Brands: Mini Mioche, Easy Peasy, Keep.

795 Queen St West Toronto, ON. Check out  the Mini Mioche blog, And you can shop Mini Mioche online.

Up-cycled goodness, recycled using vintage and second hand finds and re-purposed into some seriously awesome threads. Amazing one of a kind goods for Mom and Dad, but even more amazing {as everything is always better in mini form} are thier up-cycled kids clothes.

Top Brands: Preloved.

881 Queen St West, Toronto, ON. You can also shop at Preloved online.

TNT Kids

Slightly higher end brands, but only the ones with a hip and super stylish edge. The high end boutique for kids, the place to go to get the jump on new kids labels, and they host some pretty awesome season end sales.

Top Brands: Butter Super Soft, Free City, Kids Ink, Munster, Ella Moss.

368 Eglinton Ave West, Toronto, ON. Check out the TNT blog.

Advice From a Caterpillar and Preloved both look RIGHT up my alley! Someday I will come camp out on your couch and when I do you know we’ll go shopping among so many other fun things. This must happen!
