When it comes to special days or holidays, I’ll take experiences and people over things every time. Sure things are also really really cool, but I can buy those myself and a full day of memories is worth so much more. Instead of rounding up a bunch of awesome things to buy for Moms Day, I put together two outfits to be worn to do Moms Day “activities”.
Head out to a quick but relaxing early morning yoga practice, then back home to spend the day with the family. If yoga isn’t your thing, maybe a run, a walk or even a mani-pedi – spend some time (even just a little while) doing something for you. On the same note, set the seed for your Mom to do something for herself too.
Dress ready for a brunch with family or a day outside. We like to do a lot of walking so even though I’d plan to wear the Sling Back Mules, I’d prob go with the less painful Peep Toe Sandals. Yoga then family brunch, (and maybe a nap somewhere in there) sounds like a pretty perfect day.
To me Mom’s Day is mostly about the people I love and food (always with the food), but it’s always really nice to pamper the one you love. What do you have planned for your mom, mom in Law, friend whose a mom, a mom to be, or a family member who may one day be?
